About the Role:



We are seeking a talented, detailed and service-oriented HR business partner to join our company. We are currently 120+ employees with our headquarters in San Francisco and an office in Amsterdam. The HR Business Partner will be responsible for aligning employee practices to help support achievement of key business objectives, with a primary focus on our engineering, product and IT teams. This role also includes key aspects of employee advocacy, helping managers navigate all aspects of HR-related subjects as well as maintaining clear and precise communication cross-functionally to help keep everyone aligned to company goals and objectives.

You also know how to maximize company results by leading and delivering key HR processes and programs including:
people strategy, compensation planning, organizational development, learning and development, and employee & leadership development. You understand how to carefully consider and make key decisions in support of, and to ultimately deliver on, the strategic vision of HR.

You ideally have some experience in the key operational aspects of HR including:
benefits administration and plan design (medical, 401k, perks), vendor management, compensation administration, performance management, HRIS implementation & administration, regulatory compliance (state, federal and international), and immigration.



The role requires close collaboration with our current HR team, finance department and executive leadership. This is also a great opportunity to evaluate and iterate on the existing HR infrastructure while continuing to build new capabilities.

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Review, identify, and implement improvements of existing processes and systems to ensure appropriateness and scalability
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed throughout the organization
  • Help manage the Companys bonus program, and write policies as required for program changes; lead the Company and coordinate closely with Finance on the quarterly, bi-annual, and annual bonus cycles
  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, mitigating legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, including our international offices. Partner with the legal team as needed/required.
  • Strong comfort, knowledge, and experience with employee immigration, visas, and related challenges
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Help maintain the integrity of all Human Resource Information System records and compile reports from database as required; help own, define and deploy any new system (i.e.

    performance review SAAS)

  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned, including helping to support workplace in the management of the Companys cultural events

Requirements:

  • You love working with people, and you have an innate ability to build strong working relationships, trust and respect with management, co-workers, direct reports, internal customers, and vendors/service providers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to organize and analyze data; you know how to use Excel, ADP and Radford.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state employment laws.

  • BA/BS degree (Master's a plus!) with at least 6+ years human resources experience, and at least 2+ years experience as a generalist
  • PHR certification required, SPHR preferred
  • Strong partnering, communication, and coaching, and thought leadership regarding HR related strategy and execution
  • Relevant industry (tech/mobile) experience a plus
