LendingClubs Investor Group is responsible for raising highly diversified capital to fund loan products on the platform through retail customers. The team is passionate about building investment products that provide for a great customer experience while providing access to unique asset classes. The Investor Group partners with dedicated legal, finance and operations teams to deliver compelling investment solutions for clients.

The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Retail Investor Marketing team. This team covers both the self-directed platform and our private funds. You will play a role in developing the strategy to reach new investors, as well as executing upon that strategy.

You will be both a strategist and a do- er:
responsible for a variety of activities that include setting overall marketing direction, running marketing campaigns, crafting marketing materials and written client communications. You should have experience across digital channels, performance marketing and be able to help find new scalable channels. You will have a strong understanding of marketing methods for consumer investment products including testing and tracking.


You'll report to the Senior Director of Retail Investor Marketing, and will support business development, partnership, online and offline marketing efforts including:

  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns for LendingClub and LC Asset Management (our fund family) for mass affluent to ultra-high net worth prospects. Includes leading development for all marketing materials including ads, emails, content, and landing pages.
  • Work closely with LendingClub Asset Management team to increase fund adoption and support release of new investment products.
  • Monitor day-to-day operations and activities of marketing efforts.
  • Assist in testing new channel opportunities.
  • Strategize with internal marketing partners at LendingClub to use existing marketing tools and content as much as possible.
  • Develop and own marketing budget for specific channels.
  • Track critical metrics and client behavior, as well as industry trends.
  • Create and lead the development of new marketing copy, ads, landing pages and collateral.
  • Analyze performance to inform marketing decisions.
  • Track and report KPIs of programs on bi-weekly basis.
  • Keep abreast of competitive environment and best practices, including direct competitors and indirect competitors.

About You:

  • Good understanding of the financial services industry, investment strategies and compliance practices. Plus, to have consumer and fixed income experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an account, partnership and/or relationship management role
  • Experience in multi-channel marketing for consumer products (preferably investment products experience).

    Top channels are:
    display, partner SEM, social media, email and affiliate marketing

  • Experience in copy writing and creative development with a strong attention to detail
  • Analytically minded problem solver with a passion for data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills and detail oriented focused. Can prioritize and juggle multiple projects and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. SQL a plus.
  • Excel in creative and innovative thinking
  • Projects self-confidence, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
  • Bachelors degree in a related field
