AP Supervisor


  • Prepare and process check runs; record online payments; process void/stop payments when needed.

  • Invoice processing:
    review, research, verify, code and approve invoices and check requests for accuracy, timeliness and efficiency
  • Enter and upload invoices into system
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, track invoices thru approval workflow
  • Coach AP Team in answering vendor inquiries as needed; reconciling vendor statements- research and correct discrepancies
  • Assist to maintain vendor files, update vendor profile
  • Assist to maintain AP ledgers. AP files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practice
  • Special projects and reporting as needed
  • Assist with month end closing, produce reports as needed
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Assist in 1099 IRS reporting


  • Organized, reliable, and responsive
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, startup environment
  • Strong Excel skills and other MS Office applications
  • Effective at prioritizing multiple demands and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to build and improves processes to increase efficiency


  • BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent years of work experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in AP
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, logistically organize in details and meet deadlines
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional and appropriate demeanor, work effectively with a diverse group and maintain effective working relationships with staff and vendors
  • Experience in high volume transactions, minimum of at least 2500-3000 a month
  • Real Estate AP and Yardi experience a plus


  • This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers which can cause muscle strain.
  • The position requires talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken and written word to impart information to vendors, to other business partners, and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
